No football game should make you this upset.
It leads me to believe that something else was going on and the game might have been the last thing that set things off, but according to the report it was totally random.
According to Philadelphia police, the man, identified as 51-year-old Bartholomew Nelson, picked up a gun and opened fire at around midnight on Sunday, a short time after the Eagles’ 40-17 loss. He allegedly killed 51-year-old Leotis Martin in the process and also wounded a 58-year-old man and a 52-year-old man before leaving the scene. Police caught up with him a few blocks away and arrested him, charging him with aggravated assault, illegal gun possession, and several related charges.
“After the football game, at some time around midnight, for some reason, a 51-year-old man pulled out a gun and started firing shots at the three people he was with watching the football game that were sitting on the couch,” Philadelphia Chief Inspector Scott Small told NBC Philadelphia.
Here is his mugshot.
