It looks like Wladimir Klitschko will not be retiring.
Popping up on Instagram Wednesday, Klitschko announced that he will exercise his rematch clause to fight Tyson Fury in 2016.
“I have a pre-Christmas gift for Tyson Fury and all boxing fans around the world,” Klitschko said in an Instagram video post. “I’ll be making use of my contractual option for a rematch against Fury. So to say, the fight of 2016 is in the making.”
Klitschko, 39, was defeated by Fury, 27 last weekend to end his 11-year reign atop the heavyweight division — causing him to lose his WBA, IBF and WBO titles.
