The Cardinals didn’t look ‘Super’ in their game against Green Bay, mostly because of Carson Palmer’s big game jitters, but if they can win one more game they will have their leading rusher return to the backfield. Chris Johnson was placed on injured reserve earlier this season and would be eligible to return if his team made the Super Bowl. He talked to USA Today about his potential return:
“God-willing, we get there and then, it’s showtime…I’m playing. I’m ready to go right now.”
Johnson didn’t reach 2K this year, but he did have his best yards per game in 3 years and after what he went through in the off-season, I would consider this season a success even if his team doesn’t make the Super Bowl.
