The NFL is a business and Kirk Cousins is no fool.
He knows massive contracts in the NFL are hard to come by and if he can parlay 8 good games into one that is what he is going to do either with the Redskins or somewhere else.
He was extremely businesslike with his comments.
“I want to be where I am wanted,” said Cousins, who now becomes a free agent, “and you want to be with people who believe in you and we are going to find out — because we haven’t discussed it much yet — how much I am wanted and where that’ll go.
“It’s a business and this team is going to operate with that mindset and this is my first time going through that process in the NFL, so it’s new to me, don’t know a whole lot about it.”
Basically, he wants to get paid and told that he is the DA MAN for a long time to come. Only time will tell if he is indeed a franchise quarterback or just a flash in the pan.
