The Cleveland Cavaliers and Golden State Warriors will meet for the final time this regular season — before a possible Finals rematch this June.
The Cavs have played well of late — including Friday’s 91-77 win at Houston — and it has Kyrie Irving believing the two best teams in the league will meet on MLK Day.
“We’re the best two teams playing right now,” Irving said of the heavyweight matchup with the Warriors. “We’re No. 1 in our respective conference, they’re No. 1 in their conference.”
The Warriors will be trying to avoid a first — as they have yet to lose two straight this season — but coming off a blowout loss against the Pistons on Saturday night — may enter the Q Arena desperate.
The Cavs are on another planet since getting Irving back — who has averaged 17 points since returning in mid-December.
