In the Western Conference playoffs, Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks defeated the Los Angeles Clippers in the opening round. After defeating the Clippers in six games, worrying news regarding Luka Doncic’s knee originates from Dallas. Will the Mavs star, who is having problems with his knee, be fully recovered for the Thunder series?
Luka Doncic was questioned about his knee, which has been bothering him throughout the series, following tonight’s victory over Los Angeles. The star of the Dallas Mavericks said:
“I don’t think it’s going to get better before I get some rest. That’s a lot of minutes. Maybe the summer.”

The Mavericks were able to play one fewer game in this seven-game series, which concluded in six games. Even though Doncic was pleased with it, Dallas won’t have much time to recover, but it’s still something.
“Tired. It was a big game. Glad we get rest.”

In the series’ sixth game, Doncic scorched for 28 points, 13 assists, 7 rebounds, 1 steal, and 1 block. According to StatMuse, Doncic averaged 29.8 points per game throughout the course of the series against the Clippers.
The Oklahoma City Thunder, the team with the best seed in the West, will take on the Mavericks next. The Thunder have had plenty of time to recover after their first-round sweep of the Pelicans.
Importance of Luka Doncic can’t be underestimated
It is unfortunate for Dallas that word of their great player’s knee problems is getting out there. Throughout the Clippers first-round series, Doncic struggled with knee problems. Furthermore, it appears that it hasn’t diminished.
Throughout the rest of the postseason, the four-time All-Star will probably be battling with a weakened knee. The Mavericks have benefited greatly from Kyrie Irving, but losing Luka Doncic will undoubtedly make it harder for them to get beyond the Thunder.
While the team’s training staff takes care of Luka’s health, hopefully, the rest of the squad will make sure to assist Doncic as much as possible on the floor.
