Peyton Manning’s name was almost dragged through the mud and you can tell his sarcasm after finding out that Al Jazeera America is closing in the Spring.
To the surprise of everyone, Al Jazeera America released a documentary in which they said that Peyton Manning and other athletes were using steroids. If you recall, the report they had said that HGH was sent to Manning’s wife. Manning immediately denied the report and seeked legal action.
The Broncos face the Steelers this Sunday, January 17 and to everyone’s surprise, Al Jazeera America announced that they were shutting down this Spring. After Broncos practice, Manning commented on it and his response was definitely sarcastic and perhaps “sassful,” but he has good reason.
“I’m sure it’s going to be just devastating to all their viewers,” Manning quipped while talking to media after Wednesdays’ practice.
We’re sure their viewers are as devastated as Grantland readers were, said no one ever. Al Jazeera America CEO Al Anstey made the announcement in regards to the channel’s shut down.
