They say the rich keep getting richer, and in terms of basketball this saying may definitely be true. According to ESPN’s Marc Stein the San Antonio Spurs are the favorite to sign the veteran guard.
ESPN sources say buyout talks continue for Minnesota's Kevin Martin, with San Antonio emerging as the favorite to land him if deal is struck

Most serious title contenders are trying to make moves to at least compete with the Golden State Warriors who are dominating the league right now. With over a month of regular season basketball left to play, and under the coaching of Greg Popovich this would definitely be a good move for both sides as Martin would have time to fit into the system.
The Cavaliers are also in the mix to try to sign Martin, but with the championship pedigree of the Spurs this should give them the upper hand in the signing. Martin has until Tuesday to be bought out by the Timberwolves in order to be playoff-eligible.
