The Eddie Lacy the Packers want to return to training camp next season would look more like Shady McCoy than the former Alabama star.
Eddie Lacy is usually listed as 234 pounds on the team’s website — but he got a little bloated as the year went on.
NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported the Packers want Lacy to lose 30 pounds this offseason, whether it be through camp or a “P90X” fitness program.
Key part of #Packers plan to return to dominance: GB wants Eddie Lacy to lose 30 pounds. He's committed to it, thru camp or fitness program

Mike McCarthy has been vocal about Lacy’s weight the past few weeks, and Rapoport reported that the Packers believe the running back coming into camp in better shape than Adrian Peterson would put them back in the driver seat.
Losing such dramatic weight — would put Lacy in the weight class of running backs like LeSean McCoy, Adrian Peterson, Matt Forte and Le’Veon Bell.
