Johnny Manziel was finally cut by the Cleveland Browns on Friday after two less than stellar seasons and a ton of off the field incidents included.
The Dallas Cowboys were one of the teams we all thought would end up in the Manziel sweepstakes — but the quarterbacks heavy partying and domestic violence issues have made that highly unlikely.
According to Dave Moore of the Dallas Morning News — the Cowboys have no intention of visiting with or signing Manziel until the former Heisman Trophy winner “gets his life back in order.”
Cowboys owner Jerry Jones didn’t hide the fact that he wanted to draft Manziel in 2014, and probably would be pursuing him now if not for the negativity following him.
Manziel is waiting to hear from the Dallas Grand Jury about a possible domestic assault charges stemming from an altercation with his ex-girlfriend, and he likely won’t be signed until that’s been handled.
