Victor Cruz can act like he knew he’d remain with the New York Giants — but the truth is — the Salsa King had instructions to accept a pay cut & restructure is contract — or face being cut today.
Cruz didn’t call the Giants bluff — and after two injury plagued seasons — will restructure his deal to remain in New York.
I'm told WR Victor Cruz has agreed to a restructure with the #Giants. Involves moving some of his money from next year to incentives.

Cruz was scheduled to earn $7.9 million for the 2016 season, but his base salary will now drop to $1.3 million.
The veteran wide receiver missed the entire 2015 season due to a calf injury. Cruz suffered a torn patellar tendon on Oct. 14, 2014 against the Philadelphia Eagles and hasn’t taken the field since.
Odell Beckham Jr. is the Giants star, but a healthy Cruz could have the Giants right back in the thick of things, after upgrading the defense in free agency.
