Just two years ago, the Cleveland Browns were faced with a huge decision in the NFL Draft.
Johnny Manziel or Teddy Bridgewater?
The decision was so tough to the point that Cleveland spent $100,000 on a study to see who would be the best choice. Come to find out, the study revealed Bridgewater was the answer.
However, Cleveland ignored the study and elected Manziel.
The rest is history as we know, but why did the Browns ignore the study results?
Well, the idea was Joe Banner’s, but he was fired three months before the draft and with his assistant Ray Farmer taking over, maybe he didn’t want to feel obligated to use Banner’s philosophy.
Whatever the case is, it’s safe to say the Browns made a mistake, but what else is new?
