Timothy Bradley’s wife Monica left during her husband’s fight with Manny Pacquiao Saturday night in Las Vegas. Boxing is a brutal sport and watching your husband get pummeled is not fun. But, she knew the deal right? I mean, she married a professional boxer…
During the broadcast the cameras would often locate Monica in the crowd, looking uninterested and focused on everything but the fight. And, during the 9th round when Bradley was knocked down by Pacquiao, Monica was not in the arena.
Who knows why Monica left the fight or what was going on. I suspect all they have been through, from being penniless to the elite level purses of championship boxing has taken its toll. No matter the riches, maybe she’s questioning, is it all worth it? Or maybe she just couldn’t stand to watch anymore.
