There are few people worse to go owing than the tax folks and your local drug dealer, and one man was going to see to it that Burger King footed his bill.
The Orlando Sun-Sentinel is reporting authorities have arrested a Burger King employee, after he was found stealing over $20k in food and around $3,200 in cash since being hired March 29th.
Apparently, William Simmons, Sr. forgot the cameras were rolling when he decided to leave the store’s doors unlocked, and remove money from the cash registers. He also admitted to stealing frozen sausage patties and biscuits.
Even worse, once Simmons was caught, he dimed out his co-workers, stating: “everyone made sandwiches to take home with them”, the worse kind of crook.
One of the detectives gave a pretty good reason for Simmons thefts:
“When I asked Simmons why he was taking the money from the register, he said that he owed some people money for drugs,” he wrote.
Before you feel too sorry for Simmons, state records reveal he’s a registered sex offender, who was convicted of failing to register as such.
