Right before tip-off of Monday night’s Game 2 between the Thunder and the Mavs — Charlie Villanueva casually did his best to disrupt the pregame dance routine that Russell Westbrook and Cameron Payne swear to on nightly basis.
Westbrook shoved Villanueva a few times before taking the floor — while after breaking an NBA record for missed shots — Durant addressed the antics of Mavs players with this quote.
“That’s fake shit,” said Durant.
One would assume that Durant and company should be more worried about the horrendous shooting performance, but the question was asked and KD addressed.
A game three loss in Dallas could make thing very interesting for Durant — who seems to getting the annual questions about whether he has that championship mettle.
We shall see.
