Fetty Wap tried to do something to honor where he went to high school but it isn’t going over to well.
His latest music video for “Wake Up” was shot at his old high school in New Jersey and it’s being investigated. NJ.com report, the city’s school district is investigating a rap video, filled with drug references and a stripper, that was filmed at one of its high schools.
The nature of this video is very mature. It has strippers, marijuana, people drinking 40oz, so yeah, shooting it at a high school wasn’t too smart.
The districts spokeswoman, Terry Corallo said,
“The district does not endorse the content of this video,”
However, Fetty Wap is looking at it in different perspective saying,
“I went back to my old high school to shoot this video,” reads a message from the rapper as the video opens. “A nobody, high school dropout now known worldwide as Fetty Wap. CELEBRATE every day, roll something up and define your own path.”
