The New York Knicks have interest inquiring Jordan Clarkson in free agency.
“It’s clear we need a lead guard, someone that can really carry the load, day in and day out. That’s something that I think is one of our biggest needs,” Steve Mills said.
Restricted free agent Jordan Clarkson may well stay with the Los Angeles Lakers. He’s coming off the best season of his young career after starting alongside rookie point guard D’Angelo Russell, and with the Lakers armed with a ton of cap space and the No. 2 pick in the 2016 NBA Draft, the future is gradually starting to look a little brighter.
Clarkson was a second round pick in 2014 and averaged 15.5 points, 4.0 rebounds and 2.4 assists in 32.3 minutes per game in 15-16 for the Lakers.
Clarkson told Chris McGee of Time Warner Cable Sportsnet that “I want to stay in L.A.” adding “I don’t really look at it as me being a free agent, because I want to be here.”
