TNA is still around and every time we think it’s about to die, it finds a miracle and continues on. Through money issues and losing cable deal after cable deal, TNA has continued on with Dixie Carter at the helm. It looks like the time of the Dixie era is coming to an end according to Dave Meltzer. On the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, Meltzer reported that TNA is close to getting sold and that the situation is “coming to a head”.
Rumors of the buyers have been circulating but nothing is concrete. It’s possible that a mystery cable company or Aroluxe marketing are the potential buyers. Aroluxe handles all of TNA’s production and have recently become minority shareholders. After the recent monster sale of the UFC and with TNA getting their highest ratings on PopTV maybe Dixie Carter thought it was the right time. We all know that eventually the WWE will find a way to buy them up to own the TNA library for the WWE Network even if it’s not now The sale would come on the heels of the UFC’s $4-billion sale that just finalized recently. If UFC gets $4 billion, what would you say TNA gets?
