Michael Jordan made news on Monday stating he could “no longer stay silent” on the issues impacting black people in America. The news gained traction across the globe and was picked up in Malawi, a small country in southeastern Africa. A local paper in Malawi, clearly looking for art on Jordan, came up with the most popular Jordan photo in the world today. Yes, the crying Jordan pic from his Hall of Fame speech.
You could argue that whomever approved the art, thought this was a good picture to use. After all the issues Jordan commented on are very serious and maybe showing an emotional Jordan fit with the tone of the story…Nah, somebody messed up and chose the wrong photo.
You know Twitter would have some good reactions to this. Flip the pages and see.
