Hassan Whiteside is moving on up with his first big purchase since signing a $98 million contract with the Miami HEAT in July. According to TheRealDeal.com, Whiteside dropped $7 million on a six bedroom, 5,496 square-foot home in Miami Beach.
Here are more details:
Built in 2014, the home features an open floor plan with a gourmet kitchen, pool, bar, summer kitchen, cabana, a guest house with a private entrance, staff quarters, and a large dock. LF Development built the house, according to its website.
Whiteside is a new neighbor to Matthew Lazenby, president and CEO of Whitman Family Development, which owns Bal Harbour Shops. Jason Rubell and Michelle Simkins also own a property a couple of doors down, records show.
Whiteside’s NBA 2K rating went up this year, along with his property tax after this purchase. Congratulations to Whiteside on his new home. After bouncing around the D-League and playing for teams in the Middle East and Europe, he earned his way to stability with stellar play during the past two seasons.
