Lil Wayne Announces Retirement; His Top 5 Songs of All-Time (Video)

lil-wayne-retire

Possibly voicing his frustrations with Cash Money Records, or tired of the daily grind and lifestyle — rapper Lil Wayne retired from rap — with this awkward, but understandable tweet.

Wayne’s friend and Young Money co-founder — Mack Maine disputed the tweets:

The New York Daily News is reporting that the rapper sent out the cryptic tweet hours after Miami police were called to his home following reports of a shooting.

Wayne — who sued Birdman for $51 million — hasn’t put out an album since “Free Weezy” in 2015 — with most of his recent frustration coming from the lack of effort to get a release for his 12th studio album, titled “Tha Carter V.”

If he is walking away, he’s solidified his status as one of the greatest and flip the page to see his top five songs.
