The Sixers have been the runaway worst team in the NBA for the last few years. While putting their fans through many hard years they have been acquiring some pieces that could help turn around their future. The Sixers are loaded with young talent at the center position and it has brought concern to Nerlens Noel who voiced his opinion on big boys in the paint via uproxx.com
“I think it’s just silly…this situation that we are in now with three starting centers. With the departure of Sam Hinkie I would have figured that management would be able to get something done this summer. I think something needs to happen.”
Nerlens has a point that with so many big men that someone will be the odd man out. They all bring something different to the table. Okafor is a better offensive player than Noel. On the other side Nerlens is the much better defensive player. Joel Embiid is probably expected to be the better all around center than both assuming he is healthy.
I would would expect the Sixers to move one of the three centers, but probably either Nerlens Noel, or Jahlil Okafor. They have plenty of time to figure out what kind of rotation they want.
Moral of the story Philly fans just want to have a better year, and see some improvements.
