The support continues to flood in for Colin Kaepernick and his constitutional right to not stand during the playing of the National Anthem.
During an interview with WFAN’s Boomer and Carton on Tuesday, Marshall called Kaepernick a “patriot” and gave him a virtual pat on the back for exercising his right to protest.
“This guy, he’s one of the biggest patriots out there. Because he’s standing up for human rights.”
“I think that the message was a little diluted because of how much respect a lot of us have for those that served. [They] gave us our freedoms, fought for our freedoms. But the message was clear.”
Pulling no punches, Marshall goes on to disagree with co-host Boomer Esiason telling him “You’re 100 percent wrong,” and says Kaepernick’s protest continues to be huge topic of discussion in locker rooms across the NFL.
As for Kaepernick, he continues to take his new found infamy in stride by continuing to play for the 49ers, supporting the troops and posing for pictures with fans.
