I understand how passionate some fans are about their team, but this is not cool at all. During the bottom of the 7th inning of the Orioles-Blue Jays wildcard playoff game, outfielder Hyunn Soo Kim attempts to catch a routine fly ball hit by Melvin Upton Jr, when a beer can thrown from the stands almost strikes Kim while he is making the catch. Kim makes the catch, but immediately turns to the crowd in shock after the attempt to distract him fails.
Orioles Manager Buck Showalter came out to talk to the umpires about the incident, and likely was asking for the fan to be identified and calling for an announcement to be made to the fans. Luckily, Kim was able to make the play and avoid any controversy.
