Either Cheryl was an unsuspecting victim, or this 63-year-old grandmother is actually the plug.
According to The Detroit Free Press — Cheryl Cheatham was busted by the FEDS after she allegedly flew cross-country with more than $500,000 worth of cocaine in her luggage.
Cheatham made the trip from Las Vegas to Detroit last week with the cocaine individually bagged in two separate suitcases.
According to reports, her confusion over the luggage gave her away.
After arriving to the Detroit Metro Airport on Friday at 5.39am aboard Delta Flight 1979, federal officers observed the 63-year-old woman looking suspiciously for her luggage while standing at the baggage claim area, the criminal complaint states according to the Detroit Free Press.
Cheatham checked the tags on several pieces of luggage, ‘as if she did not own the luggage for a very long period’, the criminal complaint states.
Cheatham has had numerous convictions since her early 30s — including shoplifting, selling and possessing drugs, theft and she also served 6.5 years in prison for theft.
