People are feeling bold. We’ve been hearing countless stories about black people getting called the n-word out in the open ever since you know ran and got elected. Not to say it hasn’t happened before but people are getting very comfortable tossing that word around in public and thinking there’s no consequence to it.
This time around a Dairy Queens will be shutting down because some guy said the n-word. Chicago Tribune reports the Dairy Queen will be ending their franchise agreement with Zion Store after James Crichton called Deianeira Ford the n-word all because she wanted a refund.
She went on Facebook and shared the incident and it got around quick.
Ford said she did not receive her full order and asked for a refund after she was told she could not get the rest of it. After she asked for a $5 refund, Crichton called her and her the n-word.
Crichton who denied saying the slur at first, then was proud that he did, sent an apology. He didn’t apologize to Ford specifically.
“I take full responsibility of my actions,” Crichton said in a statement Peters released earlier Friday. “As the owner of this restaurant, I should be a model for others. My actions were inexcusable and unacceptable.”
Dairy Queen spokesman Dean Peters said,
The terms of the franchise agreement termination were agreed to and are effective immediately. The restaurant will remain closed and will not reopen as a Dairy Queen unless ownership changes at that location.
People know you can get in trouble for saying this right?
