The state of Florida is at it again.
Public defender Alton Edmond was hired by the Brevard County last April. His job was to handle misdemeanor division cases for the agency. However, he is no longer employed following a very controversy dismissal.
According to Public Defender Blaise Trettis, Edmond was complaining about political issues on Facebook.
He was posting on Facebook during working hours and the posts were about me. When you’re at work, criticizing your boss, that’s not a good thing,” Trettis said, adding that he did not put any of the admonitions or the reason for termination in writing.
Nonetheless, some believe he was really fired for sporting a ‘Black Lives Matter’ tie to the courthouse.
“People can talk about politics, of course. But there’s a big difference about talking politics and wearing politics on your tie,” said Trettis.
This story seems very fishy, to say the least.
