The KTLA 5 report surrounding the attack of India Ali in July 2016 by a man she met online named James Baker served as a reminder of the dangers of meeting people online. In the aftermath of the incident Baker, who was convicted of attacking Ali, is alleging that someone else attacked her during a botched robbery attempt on the same night and that the blood at the scene was his because she him with a bottle.

Ali had been chatting with Baker online for over a year before deciding to join him last July for dinner and drinks. The following morning Ali says she awakened in a hotel room with blood on the floor and her face battered and bruised. She then called police and informed them that her iPhone and car keys were missing. During the investigation detectives used the “Find My iPhone” app to locate Baker and discover the missing car and phone.
Baker, who has been tied to former video vixen Kat Stacks; who also accused him of assault, was convicted of felony assault, auto theft, and using forged credit cards. Since the conviction Baker is claiming on his Instagram page that he is not responsible for the crimes and that someone else harmed Ali during the botched robbery, that she orchestrated, of a man she was performing sexual favors for in exchange for money.
Ali has yet to respond to Baker’s allegations that she is a prostitute.
