Something I have been seeing on Twitter lately is when news organizations post headlines, but it won’t feature the person’s name in it. It then leads to a bunch of people quoting or replying in anger to the tweet.
Take this one from NBC for example regarding Cleveland Cavaliers guard JR Smith:

Pretty normal tweet, right? But we saw this when rapper Travis Scott got arrested recently, with many tabloids just calling him “Kylie Jenner’s boyfriend.” The disrespect.
When it came to Pipe Gawd Earl “JR” Smith, Twitter wasn’t having it, with teammate Dahntay Jones even interfering.
