It’s the NBA offseason, with the draft and free agency soon upon us the rumors are swirling. According to ESPN’s Chad Ford, the Lakers are dangling 2015’s #2 pick D’Angelo Russell. The hope is to acquire another top 12 pick to go along with this year’s #2 which they already own.
Sounds like Lakers are dangling D’Angelo Russell in effort to get another Top 12 pick. Luke Kennard & Zach Collins appear to be targets https://t.co/2NPeEKX4SM

Despite the smoke screen surrounding the Lakers and the Lonzo Ball workout, it is expected that the Lakers will select the UCLA point guard at number 2. The Lakers don’t have a 2018 pick, so this move makes sense. Replacing Russell with Ball, and keeping Brandon Ingram, Jordan Clarkson, Julius Randle, and another top 12 pick is exactly what the team needs. An infusion of youth with team friendly deals and landing a top free agent will help get the Lakers back in the playoffs.
The NBA Draft is this Thursday, stay tuned for all the news and updates.
