The Ohio Pastor, reeling from the wrath and roasting of social media for a comment on a Nicki Minaj picture, alleges he didn’t write the comment and is now asking for his congregation’s help.
Complex tracked down Elder William Henry Dewberry III, the man believed to be the owner of the Instagram page that left a comment on Nicki Minaj’s page offering to eat her booty, on Facebook and discovered a message to his congregation (Church of God in Christ) asking for their help in shutting the internet frenzy down.
“Saints, I need your help,” reads Dewberry’s post. “Somebody created a fake Instagram page under my name. I don’t know who did this. But, this needs to come down ASAP! May somebody report this IMMEDIATELY! I did not create this. I already have an Instagram page, and this one ain’t me!!!!”
The only problem is, church members have received comments from the Pastor from the account before.
There’s a lot of holes in this story so maybe the pressure of a public interrogation will reveal the truth. Or maybe it has been revealed.
