The Houston Texans and Dallas Cowboys have opted to cancel their final preseason game this season in light of Hurricane Harvey.
The Texans released a statement Wednesday saying that the team has decided to travel back to Houston so that players and personnel can reunite with displaced family members and begin to help the community recover from the devastation of the storm.

Following suit, the Cowboys have also given fans the option of receiving a refund. Those that choose not to take the refund will see the proceeds of their ticket purchases go toward a relief fund for Harvey victims.
From #Cowboys for Thursday: “Fans who already purchased tickets may get them refunded. Otherwise, that $ will still go toward storm relief.”

Texans owner, Robert McNair and family will make a donation equal to the funds that would have been generated by ticket sales for the game that was scheduled in Arlington, TX. No word yet if Jerry Jones and his family are planning to do the same.
