OJ Simpson has officially been released from prison earlier than expected. After serving nine years and being granted parole back in July, Simpson signed his exit papers and was eligible for parole minutes after. Simpson was released from Nevada Correctional Center just after Sunday midnight according to TMZ Sports. Simpson’s release was very lowkey due to prison officials wanting to avoid a media frenzy.
One prison staff member told OJ Simpson “Don’t come back.” , as it’s known to be a standard issue goodbye, whilst the 70-year-old convict replied: “I don’t intend to.” Simpson had a driver waiting to whisker him away. For now, Simpson will remain in Nevada because his paperwork to relocate back to Florida hasn’t been processed. Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi is trying to block Simpson’s relocation.
