An Arkansas Couple are the latest to give their child a name that few if any will ever have, and it comes from popular restaurant Olive Garden.
ABC 7 News reports that Justin and Jordan Garton of Fort Smith made the announcement on twitter. The couple grew up going to Olive Garden and after marrying purchased a “never ending pasta pass.”
“We committed to eating there every day for six or seven weeks to get our money’s worth,” said Justin Garton, 28, an actor who works in a furniture store to make ends meet. “It saved us several hundred dollars when we really needed it.”
After becoming pregnant with their first child, the duo decided to pay homage to their favorite restaurant by naming their daughter Olivia Garton. Initially considering Olive Garten, they opted for the former to avoid future bullying.
“We were able to make the joke, but a little more subtle, and it’s still a pretty name,” Jordan Garton said. “It was definitely an easy decision.”
