The fact that Timofey Erofeeff attempted suicide just to avoid police goes to show us that he really doesn’t care. As you’ll see in the footage, he tried to avoid police by deliberately driving off a pier.
I guess that sometimes, your life is truly not as valuable. But alas, we present you all with Timofey Erofeeff, who was so desperate to try to escape police that he drove off a pier in Oregon and landed in the Columbia River. Check out his car before it landed in the water.
This is one dumb criminal. As the Daily Mail reports, he was going pretty fast when he plunged into the freezing waters.
“Erofeeff was driving at about 45mph when he launched himself into the river. He exited the vehicle and swam several hundred feet out in the frigid water, according to the Daily Astorian.
The Coast Guard was preparing a helicopter to rescue him, but he changed his mind and swam back.
The pier was too high up for responders to rescue Erofeeff, so he was fished out of the water by a nearby boat.”
The irony is that he was taken to the hospital and treated for hypothermia. Channeling your inner Thelma and Louise never truly works out. Flip the page to see this footage.
