According to Bruce Allen on Twitter, ESPN is slated to drop a bombshell piece Friday morning, detailing dissension amongst the ranks in New England.
In the last 15 years, the Pats have won 14 divisional crowns with 7 Super Bowl appearances. After a decade and a half of sustained excellence and 5 Lombardi trophies, a power struggle between Owner, Coach and Star QB has developed.
The piece reportedly will detail Tom Brady going to Bob Kraft to force Belichick’s hand in trading Jimmy Garoppolo.
The article claims that the rift is so severe many Patriots feel this is the last year together for the trio. Also that Brady went to Kraft to force Belichick to trade Jimmy G. ESPN is planning a full day of promotion tomorrow for the article and its author @SethWickersham

Naturally, when teams win multiple titles several people are going to want the lion share of the credit. An argument can be made for each of Belichick or Tom Brady being the straw which stirs this drink.
To a lesser degree, the 90’s Cowboys saw a similar rift between Owner Jerry Jones and Head Coach Jimmy Johnson. Both men didn’t feel they received their accurate share of credit.
