Major League Baseball agent Jason Wood is under investigation by the MLB players union for allegedly filming his clients using a hidden camera while taking showers at his home. According to Fan Rag Sports, a player who has not been identified yet found a camera at Wood’s home confronted him and fired him shortly after.
Wood worked as the President of Baseball at talent agency CSE, but has since been fired from that position as well. There are reports that other players have been filmed but they have not been identified. Wood currently represents Boston Red Sox’s Andrew Benintendi, Colorado Rockies’ Riley Pint and Atlanta Braves’ Joey Wentz.
Talent agency CSE released a statement on Woods firing.
“For over 32 years, CSE Talent has prided itself on our moral and ethical standards and have built a solid reputation within the industry. We take pride in working with people who represent these values,” Danny Martoe, president of CSE Talent, said in a statement. “It’s unfortunate that CSE Talent aligned itself with someone who didn’t uphold these same standards and therefore we chose to terminate with cause Wood’s employment.”
