It baffles me that in 2018, we are still dealing inappropriate actions between men and women who can’t understand the word “no”. Between social media and people who will do anything for attention, you would think people would be mindful of their surroundings and the things they do, but alas, here we are with another unfortunate story of a young man allegedly touching a woman inappropriately.
Minnesota’s Reggie Lynch is now facing his second accusation of sexual assault; He now faces the possibility of being suspended from Minnesota. According to the NY Times, the young woman states that the assault happened late April 2016.
An investigative report by the school’s Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Office that said the 23-year-old Lynch — last year’s Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year — is suspended until 2020 unless he appeals. The suspension will begin Tuesday.
Lynch nor his lawyer have returned phone calls for statements.
Ladies and gentleman, please keep your hands to yourself. If you’re an athlete, I really think its time you start drawing up contracts to make sure both parties are aware of any situation. At this point, people are being hurt and its time to take responsibility.
