Katya Elise Henry Announces Breakup With Tyler Herro After 7 Years

Fitness influencer Katya Elise Henry has asked a court for primary custody of the two children she shares with Milwaukee Bucks guard Tyler Herro and for formal child support, court documents show, after the couple ended a relationship that lasted nearly seven years.

Henry and Herro, who were never married, share a daughter born in 2021 and a son born in 2023. Documents obtained by TMZ describe a pair of filings that followed their breakup. Herro first asked a judge to set a parenting schedule and determine a support amount, stating he had been paying support voluntarily since the children’s births. He later dismissed that case. Henry then filed her own petition seeking primary custody and court-ordered support.

In her filing, Henry said she had been the children’s primary caregiver and had made most day-to-day decisions. She wrote that she wants the children to have a relationship with their father, but asked the court to impose “safeguards and parameters” on a temporary and permanent basis because of what she called Herro’s “historical conduct,” details she said she “intentionally omitted” out of respect for him. The petition also cited the income gap created by Herro’s NBA salary.

No dollar figure for support appears in the publicly described filings. The case remains pending.

Henry and Herro began dating in 2020 after connecting on social media during the NBA’s pandemic shutdown. Herro, then a Miami Heat rookie, publicly messaged Henry; the relationship quickly became one of the more visible pairings around the league. They were never married. Henry has said in past interviews that marriage was not a priority.

Their daughter, Zya Elise Herro, was born Sept. 14, 2021. Their son, Harlem Herro, was born Jan. 12, 2023. Henry built a large following as a fitness model and entrepreneur and has described herself as the parent handling most daily care. Herro spent his first seven NBA seasons with the Heat before Milwaukee acquired him in July 2026 in the trade that sent Giannis Antetokounmpo to Miami. He is scheduled to earn $33 million in 2026-27, the final year of a four-year, $120 million extension, and can become an unrestricted free agent in 2027 if he does not sign a new deal.

The couple had weathered earlier public speculation. In 2022, Henry posted, then deleted, social media messages about loyalty and cheating; the two later appeared together and continued to raise their children. As recently as July 2026, they were photographed together after Herro’s trade and a reported offseason altercation with former teammate Bam Adebayo. Henry had also publicly said she was open to a Milwaukee move because it is Herro’s hometown.

The court papers do not give an exact date for the split.

Herro’s dismissed petition asked the court to create a parenting schedule and calculate support. He emphasized that payments had already been voluntary. That sequence is common when unmarried parents want a court order that can be enforced, modified, or used for tax and travel purposes, even if money is already changing hands.

Henry’s petition goes further. Primary custody would typically mean the children live mainly with her and that she would have the larger share of decision-making, subject to whatever parenting time and legal-custody terms a judge sets. The request for “safeguards” is more unusual in a first public filing. Because she declined to specify the conduct, the court and the public do not yet know whether she is pointing to lifestyle issues, alleged instability, travel demands of an NBA schedule, or something else. Judges generally require concrete evidence before restricting a parent’s time.

Florida, where the family has long been based, uses income-shares guidelines for child support. For high earners, courts often look past the statutory cap and consider the children’s actual standard of living — housing, private school, travel, staff, and activities consistent with an NBA household. Support can also include health insurance, uncovered medical costs, and childcare. Because the parents were never married, there is no alimony claim in these filings; the fight is about the children.

NBA travel complicates parenting plans. A typical order for a player might include offseason blocks of time, designated home stands, video contact on the road, and notice requirements for international trips. Herro’s move from Miami to Milwaukee adds a geographic issue if Henry and the children remain in South Florida.
