The photographer Mark Aragon apologized but also explains why he went on his rant against Cyborg. Cyborg was not pleased when she saw the IG post and asked for the UFC to ban the photograph.
The UFC made a statement today via TMZ.
“It is not acceptable for an official representative of (Holly’s gym) to call me transgender … I expect an apology or their ability to get credentials for future UFC events to be affected by these actions.”
UFC heard Cyborg loud and clear … issuing a statement saying the org is “aware and troubled” by the comments and Aragon “will not be granted access for future events.”
Fighting sports are a little different than a lot of sports in regards to media, but you are still expected to be a professional, and Mr. Aragon was not. He only has himself to blame for his ban.
