The Sixers recently showed that they will be in high pursuit of LeBron James this summer as he is set to hit the free agent market. Sixers fans have now also decided to try to play a significant role in the recruiting process.
Philadelphia remodeling company Power Home Remodeling bought three billboards in Cleveland with messages saying “#PhillyWantsLeBron” and “Complete The Process.”
ESPN’s Darren Rovell said that the billboards are seven miles away from the Cavs’ Quicken Loans Arena. Power Home Remodeling Co-CEO Asher Raphael explained to Rovel why they’re going so hard to lure James to Philly this summer.
“We’re passionate about Philadelphia,” said Raphael. “We have an amazing city, it’s the best sports town and it’s an awesome place to live. We think the best athletes should want to play here. LeBron is in the conversation of being the best player of all time. “We think if he comes to Philly, he gets a couple more championships.”
While the billboards do show love, coming to Philly wouldn’t be a bad choice for James at all. He would be surrounded with a talented core in Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid. Having this big three in Philly will also be the secret to completing the process and possibly luring more all-stars to the Sixers.
