The Arizona Cardinals chose to release there former pro bowl safety Tyrann Mathieu. Tyrann was 2 years into, a 5 year 62.5 million dollar contract that he signed in August of 2016. The cardinals went him a weeks ago and asked him to take a pay cut, but both sides weren’t able to come to an number that they could agree about.
“There’s many ways you could restructure a contract instead of just taking money out of my pocket,” Mathieu said at the time, via an interview with, Gregg Rosenthal. “Taking money out of my pocket, I don’t like how that feels.”
Some potential landing spots for him are the New York Giants, New York Jets, Pittsburgh Steelers, and Dallas Cowboys.
