White supremacists using white privege to their advantage when committing crimes seem to be more common these days. This was the case when 26-year-old Cameron Kennedy tried to use blackface to rob the New York New York hotel in Las Vegas.
Kennedy robbed the casino by showing a black automatic handgun in his jacket and told employees “I want all your hundreds and don’t mess around. I am not kidding, I want all the hundreds.”
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department were not able to arrest him until two weeks after the incident when they found out that Kennedy was not a black man but was actually using black face to racially profile other black men.
According to Las Vegas Now, Kennedy was able to get away with $23,000 but was placed in federal custody on Monday. The charges that he faces are interference with commerce by robbery.
