A Florida man was caught on camera bringing an infant baby to safety after stealing the car she was strapped into.
Palm Beach Post reports the unidentified man stole the unattended car from a West Palm Beach gas station. Surveillance video captured the man running from the stolen video with a baby carrier in hand.
The suspect, who deputies said stole a car with an infant inside at a gas station in suburban West Palm Beach early Tuesday, handed the baby to a worker at Royal Palm Beach gas station, where surveillance video clearly shows him rushing from the stolen vehicle with a baby in hand.
“Take the baby! Take the baby!” the suspect, a man, allegedly said.
“(The clerk) said the suspect appeared to be scared and in a hurry when he knocked on the door,” Ashby said.
When deputies arrived they lifted the 5-month-old baby from the carrier, waking it from a sound sleep. Ashby said the baby seemed fussy.
Authorities have been able to locate the car but as of Tuesday morning, the suspect is still at large.
