Antony Edwards, the 24-year-old All-Star, and Shannon Jackson, 36, wed in a low-key ceremony confirmed by a county-issued marriage certificate. Social media users first noticed a wedding band on Edwards’ left ring finger the next day during appearances at Fanatics Fest in New York via the Star Tribune.
Jackson is the mother of the couple’s daughter, Aislynn, born in March 2024. Edwards left a Timberwolves home game against the Sacramento Kings at halftime that night to be present for the birth, a moment later featured in the Netflix documentary Starting 5. The pair have been publicly linked since 2020.
Jackson also has a son, Krue Karter, from a previous relationship with rapper Chief Keef. Edwards has been described in multiple reports as treating the boy as part of the household.
While Edwards has publicly embraced his relationship with Jackson and their daughter, he has faced multiple paternity and child-support cases involving other women. Court records and media reports indicate he is the father of at least three additional children born between 2023 and 2024, though he has not publicly claimed or discussed most of them with the same openness shown toward Aislynn.
Aubri’ Summers (born October 2024) – Ayesha Howard:
This has been the most visible legal fight. Edwards filed a paternity and child-support petition in Georgia. Howard pushed for the case to remain in California, where potential support awards for high earners can be significantly larger under state guidelines.
In spring 2026 filings, Howard accused Edwards of intentionally concealing California-based assets — including an LLC, trademarks, a Beverly Hills bank account, and agency contracts — to defeat California jurisdiction and limit support obligations. Edwards’ side countered that Howard orchestrated media pressure and sought terms that allegedly included a large lump-sum payment, lifetime support, and a public apology.
A Georgia judge later set monthly support at $3,222 after Edwards had already made voluntary payments totaling roughly $110,000 (including an initial $20,000 and subsequent $5,000 monthly amounts). Edwards has stated in court that he is not seeking custody or visitation.
Amir (born October 2023) – Alexandria “Ally D.” Desroches:
Desroches filed a paternity case in New York; Edwards responded with filings in Georgia. Court documents have listed Edwards’ gross monthly income in the $3.3 million range in connection with support calculations. Support obligations in that case have been reported in the low five figures monthly after guideline calculations and deviations. Desroches has publicly accused Edwards of limited or no personal involvement with the child despite an open-door policy on her side.
Aris Ariel Carlyle (born September 2023) – Daja Carlyle:
Edwards reportedly acknowledged paternity relatively early and reached a private agreement. Details of custody and support remain largely confidential.
Edwards has not publicly addressed most of these children by name or claimed them in interviews or social media in the same manner as Aislynn. The pattern across the non-Jackson cases has centered on establishing paternity, setting support, and jurisdictional fights rather than active co-parenting arrangements.
The marriage to Jackson comes as Edwards prepares for his seventh NBA season and the second year of a five-year, $245 million contract. The Timberwolves underwent significant roster changes this offseason, including acquiring LaMelo Ball.
