Paul George is hitting the free agent market next month and many believe that he will leave the Thunder but he hasn’t ruled anybody out. According to Adrian Wojnarowski, the Rockets will be aggressive in trying to pursue George.
Wojnarowski also added that the Thunder have done well marketing themselves to George. He said that he enjoyed playing with Russell Westbrook, Steven Adams and Head Coach Billy Donovan. Oklahoma City had starpower in their lineup with George, Westbrook and Carmelo Anthony but couldn’t succeed in the playoffs as they fell to the Jazz in the first round.
George could be the answer for the Rockets in getting past the Western Conference hump and beating the Warriors. One more superstar could be it. They saw the absence of Point Guard Chris Paul affect them as they lost their 3-2 lead against Golden State due to him missing games 6 and 7 due to injury. Should George arrive in Houston, the team would have one more star to give help to MVP contender James Harden.
