Back in December when Carolina Panthers owner Jerry Richardson resigned after being found to have yelled racial slurs and showing sexual misconduct towards employees within the organization, the search was on to who could potentially be the new team owner. Diddy expressed an interest and even wanted to sign Colin Kaepernick.
After last month’s new NFL rule which said they would let players stay in the locker room during the national anthem but fine them if they were on the field kneeling to protest racism and police brutality, that immediately caused Diddy to lose all interest in owning the Panthers or any team, according to him in a new interview with BigBoyTV.
“I don’t want to be associated with oppressing black men. I don’t want to be associated with telling grown ass men what they can do and not do. This is a defining time. If Muhammad Ali and Jim Brown were able to do it, if you stick together, they can’t break you.
“I’m at the point where I’m so hurt because I’m such a big NFL fan and I hope they do what they have to do to fix it. If not, I don’t wanna be associated in a roundtable that does that to people. My players would’ve been able to do whatever they want.”
The NFL continues to show that they’re scared of Donald Trump and would rather bow down to him than hear the concerns of their black players who face different issues in America’s society as opposed to the white players.
