In a recent interview with Hollywood Reporter at her KKW Beauty pop up shop in LA, Kim Kardashian West expounds on her political agendas and her opinion of recent failures of the White House. After successfully aiding Alice Marie Johnson in gaining clemency from President Trump, Kim has now turned her attention to Kevin Cooper, a 59 year old man scheduled for execution after being convicted of quadruple homicide.
I just asked that the governor DNA test him before they execute him. It’s just a feeling. Sometimes I read something online or someone sends me something or texts me and I’ll get a feeling that I really want to help them out.
Kim says she’ll continue her political activism for prison reform, but has no intentions on running for any political office.
When asked about her opinion on the border crisis, Kardashian West had this to say:
It is really complex. It’s heartbreaking. When you see those images, it breaks your heart and I hope that it all gets resolved. You don’t want to see these things.
The interview ends with her overall opinion on the state of the union and how the President is doing:
I try to see all sides, especially after this experience [referring to the controversy over her visit to the White House]. There’s obviously a lot that we don’t agree with, but I want him [President Trump] to win. I want him to succeed, because it’s our country. It’s so crazy that everyone doesn’t want that.
Although her intentions are always controversial, it’s nice to see her want to use her voice for something future forward that could lead to change. Will The Donald take the bait and continue to work with Mrs. West?
