Tension has been brewing in the Minnesota Timberwolves’ locker room since their first round playoff exit to the Houston Rockets. This is still the case as Jimmy Butler isn’t planning on signing an extension with the team due to these issues, according to Joe Cowley of the Chicago Sun-Times.
Butler is fed up with the “nonchalant attitude” and lazniess of the rest of his teammates, with it being directed to fellow all-star Karl Anthony Towns and Andrew Wiggins.
Butler is also on board with teaming up with Kyrie Irving to play with a team in the East. This can happen in the summer of 2019 as both will be free agents. Butler can opt out of his contract.
Should Butler team up with Irving to the East, it’s something that is much needed in that conference considering the fact that all the starpower is going out West, specifically to the Warriors and Lakers.
