Tony Parker, a four time NBA champion may finally be leaving the San Antonio Spurs. Parker was drafted by the Spurs in 2001 with the 28th pick and blossomed with the Spurs and his two teammates, Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobili.
However, this off-season Parker was an unrestricted free agent. He has decided to try and play else where with the uncertainty in the situation with Kawhi Leonard. Two teams interested in Parker are the Hornets and the Nuggets.
Parker’s gonna be an interesting one because they’re trying to figure out in San Antonio what they’re doing. Can he sit around and wait for that?
There is some money — Charlotte’s got some interest in him, Denver might have a little interest.
Now Denver, they’re looking for a backup point guard so that might be a veteran — minimum guy, but Charlotte has an exception. They’ve got some money, and James Borrego, the new Charlotte coach, coached him with the Spurs.
And there’s others. There’s not a team in the league who wouldn’t love to have Tony as a backup.
This report viaVia The Woj Pod, Woj is right that most teams would love to bring him off the bench as a reliable vet, especially if the price is right. Who do you believe will win the bid for Tony Parker?
